Society: Why do you care so much about what parents choose for their kids? They're not your kids, and you don't even have a son...you aren't a boy either. I don't see why it's your business or why it bothers you.
Me: I care because no child, infant for that matter, deserves to have a piece of their body cut away for vanity. It's a useless cosmetic procedure that does nothing for your child besides making them go into shock and causing pain. I care because that child can't tell his/her parents that it hurts, that it's not needed, that it's pointless. I care because his/her parents don't care to completely educate themselves before making a decision that can't be entirely reversed. I may not have a son and I may not be a boy but I am a parent, a human being. I have rights; so should innocent newborns.
